News reports have revealed that country singer, Craig Strickland, who had been reported missing for the past one week, has been found dead today, January 4.
Strickland was 29 at the time of his death.

The Oklahoma Highway Patrol’s spokesperson has confirmed the singer’s death, revealing that his body has been recovered following an extensive search of Kaw Lake area, north of Tulsa, Oklahoma.

According to the reports, Helen Strickland, Strickland’s wife, as well as his family members have been informed of his death.

Usweekly reports that Strickland’s body had been located within Bear Creek Cove, which had been the original search area.
Following the confirmation of Strickland’s death by the authorities, Helen Strickland tweeted saying:
“#CraigStrickland was found today.
“He is safe with his Father in Heaven. Thank you Lord for leading us to him today. I will praise you, Amen.”

Strickland had on Monday, December 28, been reported missing after he and his close friend, Chase Morland, headed out on a hunting trip.
Morland is reported to have posted a tweet on Saturday, December 26, which had been retweeted by Strickland, saying:
“In case we don’t come back, @BackroadCraig and I are going right through Winter Storm Goliath to kill ducks in Oklahoma. #IntoTheStorm.”

A search for the late singer had been set in motion on Sunday, December 27, following the discovery of the capsized boat used by the two men.

Morland had reportedly been found dead in Kaw Lake the following day, with Helen revealing that Strickland’s 9-year-old dog, Sam, had refused to leave the dead body until the authorities came to claim the body.

Craig’s family members have been prayerful about finding him, especially after Morland’s body was found.
On Friday, January 1, Helen had revealed during an interview with 40/29, saying:
“It’s more painful for us to think that he could be underwater. Still, we want that closure in seeing him.”

May his soul rest in Peace.
