Mauricio Pochettino has dedicated his Premier League Manager of the Month award for September to everyone at Tottenham.

The Spurs head coach oversaw a run of three straight wins in the top flight last month, beating Sunderland away before home victories over Crystal Palace and Manchester City.

And the Argentinian told Sky Sports News HQ: "It's a collective honour because we must recognise first our players, all coaching staff and the fans.

"It's good not just for me but for the whole club. It's very important. Okay it's 'manager of the month' but we need to recognise all people involved in the team. The whole club deserve this award.

"It was a fantastic month for us that started at Sunderland, which was a big win, and afterwards Palace and Manchester City. The Sunderland win very important because, after many draws, the team played well but we needed to win, and it confirmed our way.

"Also, Palace were a team who played very well since the start of the season. It's true that the headlines will be the win against Manchester City. After you beat them, it was exciting for all, but every victory was very important."

Pochettino is the sixth different Tottenham manager to win the award and it is the second time the former Southampton boss has won the award having picking it up at St Mary's in October 2013.

Tottenham host Liverpool next at White Hart Lane on Saturday - Jurgen Klopp's first game in charge of the visitors - and Pochettino believes it will be an exciting clash.

"Liverpool need to create big expectation because it's a big club, and Jurgen Klopp showed at Borussia Dortmund he's a great manager," he said.

"It's exciting that all the great managers come to England. It's a good challenge for me and a good challenge for the team."
